A Premier School of Social Work

The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work is the first elite research institution in the country to offer a Master of Social Work (MSW) online, which in turn extends our legacy of social work education to the entire country. With part- and full-time pacing options, this Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited program prepares you for a variety of career paths — such as becoming a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) — and connects you with more than 300,000 alumni.

Program Highlights

  • Connect with classmates and faculty in live, face-to-face online classes.
  • Work with a dedicated placement specialist to find a suitable practicum internship site.
  • Receive 24/7 access to course materials and assignments via our mobile app.

The holistic MSW@USC program equips you with the skills to create positive change at the individual, community or macro level. Students gain two semesters of comprehensive foundation content, followed by two semesters of training as an advanced generalist. Advanced standing students will complete the program in 24 units. The three semesters of advanced standing will be focused on an advanced generalist curriculum.

You can further customize your degree by adding specialized training to the rich foundation that the core curriculum provides.
